Hi I am 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I was fine yesturday just felt bloaded like I ate to much. Since 8 this morning I have been throwin up and have diarrhea. I am also cold but no fever . I have tried eatin crackers and it came up along with 7up and water. My timmy is also sore from throwin up and the diarrhea. I have also noticed that everytime I stand uo or walk I am dizzy and when im lyin down it goes away What should I do. ?
Hi, It seems that you are getting dehydrated because of the diarrhea and the blood levels of essential trace minerals like sodium etc may have got disturbed and your blood pressure is also decreasing.
You can try a few home remedies like add a teaspoon full of sugar and a pinch of salt to a big glass of clean, preferably boiled and cool water and drink it in sips every 5 minutes preferably in lying down position. try this for the next 1-2 hours. When you start to feel better, drink some clear soup [without any butter of fat], orange juice, and yogurt step by step.
Take only liquids today and rest your stomach. If the diarrhea does not get controlled, go to your doctor as you may need anitibiotics like metronidazole to control the infection along with intravenous fluids.
