Pregnant For 9th Month High BP.

My Wife is pregnant and is in 9th month, doctor says the BP is very high and if it is not controlled by tomm, she will need to undergo urgent operation Is that needed?

It is to the treating doctor's discretion to make this decision so it is better to follow his/her advice. It is essential for the safety of the mother and the child that you undergo the surgery route . To mention some of the Complications of Hypertension in pregnancy are Seizures, Cerebral hemorrhage, Pulmonary edema, Acute renal failure, Disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, HELLP syndrome. Hence in the best interest of the mother and the new one, it would be advisable to go according to the treating doctor's plan.
