Pregnant, Pinched Nerve. Prescribed Tramodol, Zoloft. Help?

Hi, i currently am 29 weeks pregnant and was prescribed tramadol and i have been on zoloft already for 3 years, i have a piched nerve in my l5 s1 and herniated disc. I heard though, that you are not supposed to take the 2 together. I take the zoloft at night and tramadol during the day. i really am concerned for my baby s health, I keep hearing different things. any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Not only is tramadol not a typical pain medication used in pregnancy, there are animal studies that suggest that there might be some harm. Also, you are right, there are interactions between these medications. It is okay to take Zoloft during pregnancy, but you need to talk with your doctor about another form of pain control.
