Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Susten is a type of progesterone. Based on practice patterns in the United States, this is not a typical regimen or reason for its use. If she is traveling by train for a long period of time, the greatest risk is related to the potential for forming blood clots in her legs. This can be avoided by getting up and moving around every couple of hours. The use of progesterone is sometimes used in the setting of prior miscarriages, but again, even in this setting it would be an unusual regimen. While we consider progesterone to harmless during pregnancy, this does not seem to be an indicated use.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
