Pregnant, Weird Tingling Feeling In Back. Cramping In Lower Tummy, Pain In Cervix. Is It Normal ?

I am 36 weeks pregnant & 5 days & keep getting these weird tingling feelings that last about 25 seconds in my back about 10 min apart & than they stop after i get about 3 & won't come back for hours while also cramping my lower tummy & a quick shock type pain in my cervix. It's not really painful but quite uncomfortable. What could this be? I was put on narcotics yesterday for excruciating back pain in my middle back on the left side after they found nothing to be the cause, no contractions & was only 40% effaced last week w/ no dilation..Is this a sign things are progressing & normal or should I be concerned?

hello
please don't worry and just relax. you are not in labour . the preparatory changes are taking place in the cervix and lower uterine segment. the occasional cramping is due to the braxton hicks contractions, a natural phenomenon. hope you are taking calcium supplements. the tingling in the back could be due to some small nerve being pressed, does occur in some pregnancies. relax , it will allow go away once you deliver.
all the best
