Pregnant With Hemorrhoids. Itchy Painful Rectum. Is It Normal In Pregnancy?
Hi, I am curently pregnant in my first trimester and think I have hemerroids. Some nights my rectum is itchy and I often get sharp shooting pain inside my bum and other times its like throbbing pain. If I pass gas or poo it usually helps. If it is hemerroids is there anything I can do to make it go away? I drink as much water as I can am being very conscious of not sitting too long and I eat foods that contain finer so my stools are soft. Please don't say this is just another symptom of being pregnant I'm going to have to live with for the next right months
Hi, Thanks for the query. During pregnancy because of progesterone influence some amount of decrease in bowel movement can be seen. And that can lead to constipation and other related problems. If you are having previous history of hemorrhoids that can aggravate during this period. And also they can appear first time during pregnancy. So you once consult gynecologist, get examined and go for local and systemic treatment.
