Prescribed Clonamox For Chest Infection. Vomitting During Cough. Only Two Days Medication Left Out. How Can I Help The Situation?

Hi my one year old has been prescribed clonamox 125mg/5ml almost 5 days ago for a chest infection! I'm just worried because the cough seems to be getting progressivly worse so much so that she is vomiting from coughing! Is this normal? I thought the cough should be getting better not worse only 2 days left of antibiotics! Please help! Thanks in advance! Kim.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Probably the antibiotic may not be working.
Better send sputum for culture and sensitivity and give suitable antibiotic with the advice of the doctor.
Or emperically give amoxycillin+clavulanlate twice daily which is a better alternative.
If no improvement consult Pediatrician and get him checked thoroughly.
