Prescribed Galvus Met For Type 2 Diabetes. Ver Costly. Alternative?

I am 64 yrs male T2DM patient in India since 5 years. Today I am prescribed Galvus Met 50/500, the cost of which is Rs.215/- for 10 tabs, which is quite high for my living conditions and i definetely cannot afford for long term use. On asing for an alternate, my doctor insists that i should use it only.In view of my affordability, please advise me some substitute, alternative to reduce the cost of treatment.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You are having Diabetes for more than 5 years,the medicine you are advised is costly,you are right that tis treatment is longterm,and cost of therapy is important.
There are many alternative available of antidabetic which are equally effective you have to find another Physician and get prescription,please explain your condition doctor will help you certainly.
As this forum is not for prescription online as it would be unethical without examining the patient and prscribing drugs.
