Prescribed Macrobid. Was Treated With Flagyl For GERD. Also On Metoprolol. Drug Interactions?

I was prescribed Macrobid by a doc at a walk-in clinic. I neglected to mention that i was recently treated with flagyl (2 weeks ago) and that I am taking an atypically (prescribed) dose of Pantaloc (40mg twice a day) for GERD. I also take metoprolol (25 mg). Just concerned about drug interactions. Would appreciate info on that.

Macrobid (nitrofurantoin) is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body.
I think your doctor gave it to you for intestinal infection. This drug has no any significant drug interaction with your current medicines.
Take this medicines with some food or milk to prevent intestinal disturbance.
Take more simple and high fiber diet,Avoid oily, spicy and out side food.
Drink more water and other liquids like fruit juices, vegetable soups, buttermilk.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
