Prescribed With Fluka For Fungal Infection On The Face. How Long Will It Take To Cure?
Hi, I have fungal infection on my face and am prescribed Fluka 150 and have been taking treatment for the last one month. There are two patches one on forehead and the other on my right cheek, how long will it take to cure. I have also been asked to apply clearz plus and clear max (only at night) along with applying Clocip cream on just the spots. Kindly suggest if the same is fine
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic
Fungal infection of face is called Tinea faciei. Ideally in a month's time it should resolve with adequate treatment. Tablet Fluka 150 and Clocip cream is fine but clearz plus and clearz max are not correct treatment for Tinea. They are used for pigmentary disorders like melasma. Clearz max also has a steroid which might be antagonistic to treatment of fungal infection. Please recheck with your doctor about the indication of clearz plus and max and apply these creams only where indicated. My suggestion is to treat fungal infection first till cure and then treat your pigmentary disorder to prevent confusion.
Hope this helped
Take care
