Problems With Bowels, Pain, On Senokot S Plus And Clearlax. Vaginal Hysterectomy Done.
Hi, 2 week post opp, I have a vaginal hysterectomy and I'm in pain because my bowels are not working like they should. I'm on Senecot S plus stool softeners and Clearlax. I'll go some one day then won't have a BM the next. Trust its nothing to right home about either when I do go. Do you have any other options for me??
You have recently undergone surgery that is vaginal Hysterectomy and facing problem of bowel movement.
There are few causes which you should look into one is pain due to surgery if it is persisting, any medication which has side effect of constipation, in adequate water and fibre in diet.
You are already taking laxatives which should work and if you are able to walk without pain then it would also help.
You should increase water intake and fibres in diet like papaya, fresh fruits in diet.
Once you take these simple measures your bowel movement will be normalized and you will be healthy soon.
Wish you good health. Take care. Good Luck. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D
