Problems With Discus Haernia, Paresesia In Legs, Hips, Knees. Should I Take Rest Or Walk While Having Pain?

Hello dear collegs, I am a doctor , ENT specialist from Serbia. I have problems with Discus haernia L3 - L4, paresesia in both legs, hips, knees, and joints. I am 43, 183 cm, 95kg. Pain is sometimes very strong. No problems with sphincters, or "follen foot". I ask you, when I am in pain, should I stay rest or take a slow walk ?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
In case of the acute pain, absolute bed rest is recommended. You need pain killers and muscle relaxants for symptomatic relief. Exercise and walking are allowed once the acute pain subsides.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
