Prostrate Enlargement, Operated For Hernia, Swelling On Left Groin. Whats The Reason For Swelling That Comes And Heals?
I am having prostrate enlargement 48mm cube. operated for hernia left and right long back. swelling like hernia on left groin side seen. dr. told no hernia. what to be done for this swell comes and heals in half hour.
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Enlarged prostate and was operated for Bilateral Inguinal hernia few years back and have noticed swelling in the left groin .
The swelling in left inguinal region could be due to recurrent inguinal hernia secondary to enlarged prostate .
Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical evaluation and to confirm the diagnosis,
If confirmed you need to get endoscopic surgery of resection of prostate (TURP) and hernia repair done .
Both these procedures can be done in same sitting under spinal anaesthesia. Dr.Patil.
