Puked Up Bitter Bright Yellow Substance In The Morning. Should I Worry ?
Hi, I woke up this morning and for an hour I puked up bright yellow substance. It tasted very bitter. They about an hour and half later it happened again. I just want to know what happening? Is it something I should highly worry about or go to the doctor for? What can I do at home to help myself. I am a 20 year old female going to college.
At first, it would help to know what your last meal contained? Also, the gap between your last meal and appearance of first symptoms?
Vomiting may be due to various causes, but as you have noticed a yellow color vomitus, this could mean that the lower sphincter of the stomach (connected to the duodenum) is weak and thus bile which is normally released in the duodenum is reaching the stomach, causing irritation and leading to vomiting.
To begin with, please visit your doctor and get treated to stop the vomiting. To rule out a weak lower gastric (pyloric)sphincter your doctor will conduct an elaborate work up. There is also a chance your vomitus is yellow only because of the food you consumed; in case of indigestion or a stomach infection.
