Pulled Butt Muscle While Exercising, Difficulty To Straighten Leg, Sore In The Center Of Butt Cheek Down To Bone. Remedy?
Hi, Doctor Siegel- about 2 months ago I did something to my left butt muscle. I was taking a pilates class and pulled something. I didn't feel it right away. The next several days I just thought I worked my glutes too much and it was just a soar feeling. Here I am 2 months later and I still can not do any poses that require a straight leg. For example I can not touch my toe or the floor with out bending my left leg a lot. It is only soar in the center of my left butt check down to the bone. I can feel it even when I am sitting.
Hi and thanks for the query, It is important to know exactly to what extent the muscle was damaged. A complete clinical review by an experienced orthopedic surgeon could be useful. However, in case of difficulties, Magnetic Rasonance Imaging, MRI, remains the main source of informative that could be of great help. Depending on the intensity of damage, treatment could range from rest, anti inflammatory agents to surgery. For now, Rest, pain management and physiotherapy,as you await an orthopedic surgeons expertise would be most welcome. Kind regards
