Reason For Pain During Bowel Movement And Blood In Stools?

My mother has been having severe pain when she tries to have a bowel movement and instead of stool she gets these few medium dark red clots or blood, or foamy blood that floats. Just looking for some answers since she can't get to a doctor until monday afternoon at the earliest

Hi,
The problem she is having is due to constipation along with disturbed Gastro intestinal flora.The intestinal microflora is a complex ecosystem.The gut flora helps to neutralise some of the toxic by-products of digestion, reduce harmful substances (such as toxins and carcinogens), and discourage 'bad' bacteria and yeasts. It also helps to stimulate the digestive process.I would suggest you to take probiotics for few weeks.Probiotics will help to restrore the depleted intestinal flora,Along with probiotics B complex are to be taken.Once the flora is replenished all problems related to digestion will improve.

To improve constipation.
Take two tea spoon Psyllium husk half cup of luke warm water daily before going to bed.
-Take lots of fibres in your diet,Take atleast 35gram of fibres every day.Use natural source of fibres like fruits and vegetable,They have high fibre contents.
-Keep your self hydrated,Take 100 ounce of water daily,Better to take luke warm water.
-Take raw salad,Avoid cream and other dairy products.
-Avoid all fast foods and junk foods.
- Drink 2 glasses of water on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement
- No alcohol or smoking.
- 45minutes of exercise daily.
If not relieved in 10 days
Start taking lactulose 10ml once daily with half cup water at night time.
