I have infection in my ear, as long as i take medicine it stays normal but as soon as i withdraw the medicine during the first two days a watery discharge without any smell oozes out from the ear and thereafter it becomes purulent gives a vary bad odour
Hi, a persisting foul smelling discharge from ear points to CSOM unsafe type which means that there is perforation of ear drum and bone is also eroded. Please get an ear examination done by an ENT and if CSOM unsafe is there, surgery in the form of MRM with tympanoplasty is the treatment of choice. Otherwise cleaning of ear canal will resolve the problem. regards
