Received Epidural Cortisone Injection. Have Burning Sensation In Stomach. Tried Antacid. Reason?
I received an epidural corisone injection to relieve pain from bulging disks in the cervical spine. This was 4 days ago. I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my stomach, traveling upward. Antacids do not seem to relieve it. There is some relief after a meal, but for a short time. Any suggestions for relief? Is this to be expected with cortisone?
Hi! Thanks for calling on HCM. Probably you are having Acid Peptic Disease. It needs medications like Rabiprazole along with Antacids should give relief. As such you can try having small meals every two hours. Avoid Alcohol, Tea, and Spicy food. Get well soon.
