My 3 year old slid last night and hit his ear on the floor. The upper part of his ear is swollen and red today. He says it doesn t hurt and when I move it around he says it hurts a little, but otherwise he is completely normal. We have put an ice pack on throughout the day but hasn t changed much.
Hi, It is good that you have kept ice-packs. Get this checked from an ENT Surgeon to see there is no Hematoma Auricularis. IF present it needs to be aspirated. This is to avoid the bad healed one at a later stage and age. Continue with the anti-inflammatory medicines for 7 days and do not handle the area at all, give it time to heal without complication.
