Recommend Treatment For Mental Illness And Depression

HI,having probs with my mom, she is always swaring to my dad, in past she was in dipression abt 6months. but now a days. she is not mentally well. she is fine with others but when it come to my dad then she started talking rude,(galiya bolna). she started throwing the stuffs on my dad.(it could be frames,untils,anything) and its happend quite frequently, and she is not ready to go and see any psychiatrist for that. this case is similar kind of the movie(bhulbhuliya). kindly adivce on that what to do?

I can understand your concern. She is suffering from depression and now she has developed symptoms like violent, abusive behaviour especially against your father. Such symptoms can also occur in bipolar disorder and need proper evaluation. She is not ready to visit a psychiatrist which also points toward some possibility other than depression. In my opinion she should be treated with proper medicines. As she is not getting ready to consult a psychiatrist in such case you can visit to a psychiatrist along with your father for medicines. Some times in case of a psychotic patients medicines can be given by mixing with food. Risperidone or Olanzapine can help her, these medicines are also available in tasteless and odourless forms which can be given to patients by mixing with food. These medicines will reduce her anger and she would become agree to visit a psychiatrist. Discuss with a psychiatrist for her treatment and prescription of drugs.
