Recurring Blister Like Bump On The Toe Near The Nail Which Discarges Sticky Clear Liquid?
I have a blister like bump on my toe near the nail. It discharged very sticky clear liquid. It has persisted for 3 weeks. It has appeared to be healing a few times but then fills with fluid again. The skin around it is slightly red. I am concerned because it doesn't seem to be healing. What should I do?
I can understand your concern for recurring blister like bump on the toe near the nail which discharges sticky clear liquid
You should meet your treating doctor to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.
I suggest you to take oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection. For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
Take care.
