Recurring Symptoms Of UTI. Urine Analysis Shows 1+wbc Esterease. Normal?

I think I may have a U.T.I. I had an urinalysis performed almost two weeks ago. It came up as 1+ Wbc Esterease. At the time of the test I had no discomfort. So, I didn't think much of the results. Last week into this week. I've had some discomfort and have felt like I have to pee, yet I can't. Then the symptoms stop and come back. Is this normal? Can a U.T.I.'s symptoms come and go?
