Red Bumps On Skin. Husband Having Same Symptoms. Underlying Cause?

my husband and i have been getting small red bumps on our skin that kind of hurt (like a pimple), but i don't think it is one? there is a "center" dot like a pimple as well, but nothing comes out of it and it's slight tender to the touch. i've been getting them on my arm and upper leg area and he's getting them on the tops of his thighs. any ideas what this could be?

Dermatologist 's  Response
hi. It appears you both are having folliculitis. It is an infection of the hair follicles.
Use an Antibacterial soap for bath.
Take a week of oral antibiotics like Amoxycillin/Augmentin
Apply topical antibiotic cream twice daily e.g mupirocin cream, fusidic acid cream
