Red, Burning, Itchy Bumps On Ankles And Lower Legs
I worked outside for 8 hours on Monday. Yesterday, I noticed small red bumps that burn and itch on my ankles and the lower part of my legs. Today, the itching is worse and my knees and lower legs are hurting. The bumps don't look like chigger bites, nor do they look like any other kind of bites. They are small and flat just under the skin.
From the information you have provided, it sounds like you were exposed to an substance that caused an allergic reaction. This generally responds to antihistaminics like chlorphenamine, loratadine etc. You may want to try them as they are available OTC. However, if you shouldn't get relieved within the next days, then you should get consulted for some other no common causes that are not related to what you have described.
