Red Cracked Rash, Spreads After Scratching, Itching And Burning While Using Medicines On It
Hi Dr. Grief, I have a c-shaped rash that is red or inflamed and cracked and scaled. I have used cortisone cream, and fungal creams but nothing seems to help. The rash started out very small and I scratched it and now it is spreading outward, leaving the cleared center a darker area than it was before the rash. It itches and burns when I put med on it.

Hi i think it is tinea incognito.it is a fungal infection slightly picture altered by steriod application.it presents as semicircle which is erythematous and central clearing.it should be cured by atarax 25 mg at night.terbinafine 250 mg in morning and application of terbinafine ointment twice daily can cure the condition.
