Red Rash Looking Line On Butt Crack, Severe Pain During Bowel Movement. History Of Unexplained Hip Pain, Eczema And Sensitive Skin. Simple Rash?
Hi my husband has a red rash looking line going down each side of his butt crack and it's painful for him to poop, he had unexplained hip pain last week and was limping but it went away after 2 days however he has been having problems using the bathroom and practically screams while having bowl movements any idea of what his symptoms are do you think this is serious or do you belive it could just be chafing which causes the painful bathroom vists, will simple rash cream help ? He does get exzama and has sensitive skin

Hi thanks for writing here.Your husband seems to have perianal intertrigo.It usually occurs in body folds like groin,buttocks.Keep area clean and dry.Start using antifungal powder at day time.Use steroid antifungal combination at night time.Use mild soap for cleansing.Use loose cotton undergarments.Once the lesions are healed he will have no pain during bowel moments.Take care.

Hello.It is necessary to explore intergluteal,anal and perianal area because
that have severe pain in defecation is probably not only a skin problem.
A possible diagnose is abscess but his doctor must rule out other pathologies such as hemorrhoids and anal fissure.To take some antiinflammatory and apply topical corticosteroid can
improve symptoms but he must visit his doctor to examine and establish a diagnose.I wish him good health.
