Red Spot, Itching In The Site After Injecting Self With Second Dose Of Enbrel. Solution?

I have given myself two injections of enbrel and on the first one no red spot but on the second one i have red spot at the injection site about the size of a half dollar and it itches like crazy. What can i take or do to relieve the itching and redness? I did call my rheunatologist and he said the redness was normal. Darlene Gamalielson

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As you mentioned that ENBREL ( ETANERCEPT) injected himself , this is a most serious thing as this medication is only one of the best medicine for rheumatoid arthritis.
When you were injecting some solution leaked and this develops thrombophlebitis at locally and there develops rash and allergy.
For this massage locally over this area with ice.
Rub gently heparin ointment for local absorption of drug.
Serratiopeptidase will also help.
Good luck.
