Red Spot Of Blood In Eye, Swelling, White Pus Discharge. Due To Conjunctivitis?
My son is 2 years and 4 months old and in his right eye he has a red spot of blood near the lack area of the eye, around 1cm away. What is this? Why has this occurred and what can be done. Over the last night he had swelling of the eye with white puss coming out of the eye. It was discovered to possibly be conjunctivitis ... Is there any link between the two? Please assist and guide me...
hi there, the white discharge at the edge of the eye is because of conjunctivitis and the swelling is also because of the same. The haemorrhage or blood that you are seeing near the cornea could be due to conjunctivits and if you have been prescribed any eye drop please continue using them in the prescribed manner. The haemorrhage should subside on its own when the conjuntivitis is cured. If it continues even after that then you should visit an opthalmologist and get an opinion on the same,.Take care.
