Reddish Purple Pimple On Top Of Infant's Head. What Can It Be?
My 7 week old baby has a reddish purple pimple like bump on the top of her head...on the outter edge of her soft spot. Its raised up about an eighth of an inch with no whitehead and has been there for about 3 weeks. it doesnt seem to be painful to her when i touch it and it hasnt been getting any smaller. any idea of what this is? she has her two month checkup soon and her pediatrician may have a surgon look at it.
Reddish bump over infants head most probably point towards haemangioma.
It frequently occurs in children.
It gradually increases in size up to 1 year and then start regressing.In some cases it may remain there for 7 years.
Treatment is required only when it gets ruptured or infected.
