Redness In Eye, White Discharge, Blurred Vision, Irritation. Recommendation?

I pretty sure I'm getting an eye infection and can't get to the doctor until tomorrow morning. The white of my eye is red and there is white discharge gathering in the corner of my eye ever few minutes, I can see it under my top eye lid when I lift it and I can also see it on the inside of my bottom eye lid, and my vision is getting blurred and irritated. Is there anything recommended for me to do with is as far as cleaning until tomorrow morning. (I have a seven month old and don't want her getting it either)

Hello,

thanks for using health care magi

You have an eye infection and with the notion that your vision is getting blurred, it could be possible that the infection is not just a simple conjunctivitis. This implies that urgent ophthalmological consultation is needed. However, you will be given antibiotics in the form of eye drops. Gentamycin eye drop is usually widely used together with local eye antiseptic such as desomedine 0.1% both of which your doctor could prescribe.

Meanwhile, use of normal soap with abundant water to clean the eye regularly is needed.
Not only your baby can get this, other people as well, so to prevent that, you need to ;
-wash your hands regularly after contact with your eye,
-put on glasses
-do not exchange towels or other tissues etc.

Hope this helps you.
Best regards and do not hesitate to ask further questions if you have any.
