Reduced Hair Density, Scalp Shows Circular Baldness. Have Androgenetic Alpecia. Is It Due To Work Stress?

Hello,
I am a 32 year Old male from Kolkata. My hair density is reduced like anything in the last 2-3 years. The middle part of my scalp has started showing the signs of a circular baldness. I consulted with my friends with similar situations and they said that I have androgenetic alopecia. I work in the Software field and try to exercise at least 10-12 hours per week.

Please suggest how can I stop my baldness and increase the density of my hair like 2-3 years back.

Hi Kallol,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
It is very common to find your kind of situation in males known as Androgenetic alopecia characterized by pattern or extent of hair loss from bitemporal recession, to frontal and/or vertex thinning. This can be related to the pattern of hair inherited from either or both parents and is superadded by more hair fall by your life style and dietary pattern. As you are into a sedentary job with lots stress might just be part and parcel of your life making it even worse.
For the treatment part:
1.     Improve your life style- do some exercises or yoga, take 8-9 hours of sleep
2.     Take breaks of 5 minutes after every 1 hour of computer activity.
3.     Stop any kind of substance abuse (if any)
4.     Eat a lot of nutritious diet including fruits, green leafy vegetables and increase protein intake
5.     There are certain oral and topical treatments in form of vitamins and minoxidil which you can discuss with your doctor for the best of results
6.     The last option of Surgical Treatment in for of Hair transplantation can be best guided by your doctor if you are not getting any relief by all the above measures.
7.     All the best,
