Regular Smoker, Constant Cough Problems, Chest X-ray Done. Is The Report Normal? Any Preventive Actions?
Hi... I am 54 yrs old male and regular smoker since last 30 yrs...I have cough problem quite often which became severe this time. I had chest Xray (PA View) and report says: Bronchovascular markings are prominant Both Hila appears normal Both CP angles are clear Cardia appears normal Both hemi diaphragms appear normal Bony Thorax is normal Kindly let me know the seriousness of the report and preventive actions Thanks
The report is normal however its best to stop smoking as it can affect ur lungs further. if u have frequent cough and sputum then it means that u are heading towards chronic bronchitis which can further lead to COPD. Also get ur lung function tests done
