Repetitive Pulsation In Anal Area During Pregnancy. What Could It Be? Getting Occasional Braxton Hicks Contractions
I m 30.5 weeks pregnant with twins. I have this sensation which I thought at first was my baby kicking in my anal area but than it was more like a repetitive pulsation. Wondering what this could be. I wasn t doing anything prior to the sensation occurring I was sitting in a lazy boy, but I have been getting infrequent braxton hicks contractions .
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes are:
-In case of twins, one baby may be situated in the lower part of the uterus near the anal region. You may be feeling the movements of the baby there.
-Hemorrhoids is a common finding in pregnancy. You may be feeling the pulsations of the descended blood vessels in hemorrhoids.
So if you are continuously having the problem, better to have one checkup.
Take care.
