Report Showed Borderline Reactive Hepatitis. Do I Need Any Treatment?

I received a call today that my hepatitis a results were borderline reactive. Do I have hepatitis a? I have some of the symptoms. My doctor said no treatment was needed and the virus should clear itself, but I do not feel that I understand what is going on. I work in food service, and informed my employer of the results.

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Hepatitis A is a self limiting disease , with minimal mortality rate, it spreads through feco oral route, symptoms being stomach pain, vomtings, fever, yellow urine, and light coloured stools.
It is diagnised by serum bilirubin and igm anti bodies for hepatitis A virus. incubation period may last for 28 days. in that period you can have border line result and may leed to the disease latter, for that also no treatment is required it is cured automatically, of course there are treatments also if the doctor feels necessory.
The important thing to be remembered is the personal hygene. should wash hands thouroughly with soap after defecation. Better to be have no sex in active disease.
I advise you some diet recommendations as avoid all oily foods, and nonvegetarian foods during disease, take more of fruits and juices, curd, and vegetables.
There is vaccination for hepatitis A, you can get the people at home with 2 doses of vaccination at a gap of 6 to 12 months.
I hope the information is helpfull to you, I thannk you for calling.
