I am 62years old. I had hysterectomy when I was 26years old for Endometriosis. I had ooperectomy when I was 28years old for same condition. I have had adhesions relieved since. My last op. was when I was about 40years old I had laser treatment for adhesions. They said they had relieved adhesion on left side and no signs of endo were seen, but left an adhesion on right side said "of no significance". I still have pain and inflammation on right hand side of pelvis, which I have had now before I had the hysterectormy. I have had appendix removed also. I suffer day and night with this problem, which incidentialy and have had since I started my periods.
Hello, Endometriosis doesnt always get cured after a total hysterectomy. If there are endometrial deposits elsewhere in the pelvis, then the pain can occur again. At age 62 this is less likely and adhesions are more than likely to occur. This leads to chronic pelvic pain which can only be managed with medication and adhesiolysis. You have had at least 3 abdominal surgeries and adhesions are a definite possibility. You should see a pain specialist for options.
