Right Testicle Larger Than Left, Sac Not Behind, Dull Pain. Anything To Worry?
Hi i am 13 years old and my right testicle is about 1 and a half times as large as the left, and i have seen in diagrams there should be a small sack behind each testicle, I think i have it but it is not behind, on my right it is above/in front and on the left it is below, and on my right what i think is my spermatic cord is very thick, about 3/4 mm thick. Much more than the left. My left testicle is about 2-3cm, and my right 3-4. As for pains, for six months I have sometimes experienced a dull ache above the right testicle but not much else.Should I be Worried? Thanks
Hi, Thank you for asking question on health care magic Normally one testis is smaller than the other the testes are placed inside a sac (srotum) as spermatic cord is thickened and there is dull pain, it may be inflammation of the cord or there may be collection of fluid between the 2 layers covering the testis (hydrocoel) There is nothing to worry if it is not growing in size Any way better get it examined by a surgeon to rule out any surgical problem Hope this answer will serve your purpose Please feel free to ask any more queries if required Take care Dr.M.V.Subrahmanyam MD;DCH Associate professor of pediatrics
