Right Ureter Mildly Thickened. Severe Pains And Burning In Groin. Treatment?

Hi, i had an ultrasound done in December 2012 which show that my right proximal ureter is mildly thickened, which can be inflammatory or neoplastic. I was sent to do further evaluation by way of a CT urography to which i haven't done as yet. Can you please give me some advice has to how serious my case is as i do have severe pains and burning in my groin at times.. Thank you.

Hi,
Do not worry, without having proper diagnosis, there is no reason for worry.
Most probably you might have this thickening due to chronic infection in your urethra, which is common.
Go for CT as you are advised and get it diagnosis.
After diagnosis go for treatment accordingly.
Ok and take care.
