Hi
It can happen if proper isolation was not done while doing the rct. but nothing to worry about. its just ulceration has happened due to the action of hydrogen peroxide. thats why their is burning sensation and pain. try mucoheal or oroheal 5-6 times a day. drink lot of cold water through out the day. it will take 5-6 days to heal completely.
wishing your wife speedy recovery
with best regards

HI DEAR ,
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE HAS NO SUCH BAD EFFECTS WHEN USED AS IRRIGATER IN ROOT CANAL TREATMENT. THIS SEEMS TO BE DUE TO SOME HORMONAL CHANGES AND OTHER ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCES. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DENTIST OR AN ORAL PATHOLOGIST. REGARDS.
because of hydrogen peroxide there is hyper trophy of filiform papillae......
