Rough, Dry Patches On Knuckles, Elbows, Using Hand Lotion Which Gives Short Time Relief. Indication Of Disease?
I have rough dry patches on my knuckles. most of the times it is confined to the pinky finger knuckles but sometimes it is on my other if not all of the other knuckles. I also have very dry rough elbows. I put hand lotion on these areas all the time but it only helps for a short time. Is this a symptom of a larger condition or just a case of dry skin?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description, eczema seems to be a likely possibility. It is not a serious problem and most of the times a good massage daily with moisturising cream helps. You can use exfoliating creams also before taking a bath.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
