Rough, Raised Spots On Heel With History Of Being Bit By Something Causing Blister Which Was Disinfected And Treated. Any Thoughts?
About 2 weeks ago I noticed small raised spots developing on the inside of my 22-month old son s left heel. Since then they have grown in size and I can now count four clear raised dots. They feel rough to the touch. They don t seem to be bothering him with walking, but he does like me to rub the area now and then - so I m not sure if it s starting to get itchy. About a month previously, whilst playing outside something bit him in the vicinity of where these dots have now appeared. A big blister appeared which I drained, disinfected and treated. There was never any infection. I would just like to know what these dots could be, if they re going to get bigger and if I should be taking him to see my GP soon.
There are many causes to the red small raised spots inside your son's heel.
If the spots appeared after something has bitten him, then, I suggest to get further evaluated by a pediatrician or GP to determine if it's a callus or infected bite site.
All the best! Dr.Alba
