Safe To Take Ambroxol For Cough During First Trimester Pregnancy? Have Cough, Sore, Fever

Good pm,Doctor. Can i ask if is it safe to take Ambroxol 500mg tablet for cough during my first trimester pregnancy? I am having a cough, sore, and fever for 4days already. My Doctor prescribed me some meds for fever also.. Can u please help me answer if its safe to take amboroxol and Co-amoxiclav for cough and infection in my 12wks pregnancy?thanks..

hi,first of all let me congratulate you as you became pregnant.Regarding your query-it is not advisable to use ambroxol tablet in the first trimester of pregnancy.you can use co-amoxiclav tablet.Its better to review your medications with your family doctor.Get well soon mam.
