Scheduled For Hysterectomy. Have Fibroid Tumor Outside Uterus Which Will Also Be Removed. Will Incision Effect Recovery Time?

I am having a DaVinci assisted hysterectomy, uterus, ovaries and cervix with an expected recovery time of two weeks before I go back to work with restrictions. My job is fairly active, I work in a library, am on my feet most of the day, carry stacks of books, shelve them (always over my head or on the floor, never at eye level :)....I have a fibroid tumor on the outside of my uterus which will also be removed. The dr. is not sure if she can remove it through the vaginia or will need to make an incision. How might the incision effect my recovery time? I had cleared the two weeks with my boss, but have a new director starting tomorrow..... Susan
