Second STD Test Shows High HSV, IgM 1/2 Combination. Reason?

Hi, my name is Renee and I'm really confused about my lab test results. Back in February, I had been tested for the second time in 4 months for STDs. The first test that was performed in October came back completely negative whereas the second test had these results: hsv, igm i/ii combination 1.59 and said that it was high. Is it possible that I have herpes? I'm in a relationship and the guy that I'm with has had a couple different things that couldve gone either way. I just need answers, please!

Positive IgM antibodies for herpes is very suggestive and conclusive for a recent infection. I don't know whether the guy is the origin or may be another source because herpes is not exclusively sexually transmitted. And sound like from the test it is a combination of both type 1 and type 2 and the transmissions are totally different and hard to make a call on one or the other.

Looking at symptoms, youu may be able to tell if ot is oral(typeI) or genital (typeII). Hope this helps an dprovides some useful information for you to act one. Please, always consider using a protection during sex to stay away from STds and pregnancy if you are not planning for any.
