Sensation Of Bruising In Eye, Diagnosed As Allergic Conjunctivitis. Symptoms Of Pink Eye?
I went to my local er yesterday because for two days prior my eye felt bruised but I had no physical symptoms. I was told I had allergic conjunctivitis in my left eye. The doctor had also seen my neice a few months prior and diagnosed her with the same thing but it was pink eye. I m not so sure I don t have pink eye and I have a 10 mnth old son that I don t wamt to get exposed to this. How can I tell the difference in the 2 diagnosis and what can I do?

Hi I am Dr. Mbobnda. It is normal to question a diagnosis when you don't have some of the symptoms. but i like you to understand that the same disease can have varied symptoms in differnt individuals. The sensation of bruised eyes can be due to allergic conjunctivitis. Also in this case there is no need to keep you child aways because it is not contagious.
