Sensitive Vagina, Frequent Burning After Sex, Change In Discharge. Suggestions? Treatment?

I have recently started having sex with my boyfriend. He was my first and i am on the pill. Recently my vaginal area has been extremely sensitive. I am experiencing frequent burning of my vagina throughout the day and right after he pulls out after sex. I also have noticed a change in my discharge and it burns when i pee. Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing this uncomfortable burning and how to stop it? Thanks

hello
As you stated your problem you can use vaginal lubricants during sex.
as you have burning during pee you may have urinary tract infection , immediatly you should start plenty of water orally.
if burning persist go for urine examination.
Burning immediate after sex may be due to excess rubbing of vaginal wall during sex.
Also way of doing sex can be altered as comfort.
ok
take care

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The presence of burning sensation in the vagina and change in the discharge indicates a vaginal infection.
If the discharge is profuse, a culture sensitivity of the discharge should be done.
This test will identify the organism causing the infection and thus, help in prescribing the appropriate antibiotics.
A urine examination can also be done along with examination of the discharge.
Your partner also needs to be counselled as he can also have infection.
Treatment of both partners is needed in infection of urogenital tract.
You need to abstain from sex till the infection clears away. You will asymptomatic once the infection clears away.
Consult a gynecologist for clinical examination, prescription of tests and relevant investigations.

Thanks and take care.

Hi there,
Thanks for writing to us,
The symptoms you are experiencing are mostly due to the urinary tract infection.
Try to maintain vaginal hygiene. Usage of tablet cotrimoxazole 400mg twice daily for 3 days ,get yourself treated.
If the symptoms remains after the regimen , visit an nearby practitioner and get an vaginal swab for further management.
Take care.
