Several Small, Red, Round Bumps On Face, Treated With Acne Medicine, No Help. What May Be This ?

My daughter has several bumps on her face. They are small, red, round and protrude slightly from the surface of her skin. It is not acne . She has had them for nearly two years. I took her to a dermatologist , only to have it diagnosed as acne. We decided to go ahead and treat them with the acne medication prescribed but it has not had any effect. Any idea what it may be? Thank you,

Hi,thanks for posting
Acne is a very common condition seen in adolescent age group.
It may be mild in the form of comedones ,
small red round papules that may have pus
In most severe cases hard big cystic nodules.

acne generally occurs till 25-30 years of age.

It is unlikely to be some other problem from the details you have mentioned.
So I suggest you to go ahead with the treatment as advised by dermatologist. some times resistance occurs toconventional treatment, so you can meet the doctor again.

hope this adresses your concern
