Severe TMJ, Lose Bottom Tooth, Depression, Swelling Of Upper Lip. Done X Rays. What Does It Mean?
hi, i have severe tmj. last year i had 3 of my bottom teeth loose and my dentist glued them till i got a bite plane. since that time i have moved and have been under more stress and also have depression and so i woke up a month ago and it felt like my jaw had moved or something differetn. I now smile and cannot see my top teeth and always could before. i found a new dentist and he took xrays and am going back to see him in a week. my cheeks are swollen and my upper lip as well. however the swelling has gone down some. i just worry constantly and i dont see anywhere that tmj can cause swollen face. any suggestions?? s
The loose bottom teeth as well as swelling of upper lip may be due to- p e rio dontitis of teeth involved either due to poor oral hygiene maintenance or due to systemic diseases associated.
If you had undergone any trauma or fracture ,chances of shaking teeth as well as dislocation of jaws is very high.
If not so,chances of T M J dislocation is less.
Get a thorough clinical as well as x-ray evaluation done.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Get a thorough scaling done.
