Severe Burning In Chest, Spitting Blood, Blood In Urine. Normal CT Scan, Quit Smoking. Is This The Cause For Concern?

i am 33 years old, i have been smoking for the past 13 years, recently i have a severe burn in my chest and today i spat blood. it was thick like mucus. I also had blood in my urine and the urologist advised a CT scan, the results came out normal. I quit right now, as i want to live long and healthy. Do i need to be concerned about chest burns?

blood in spit can be because of many causes, the important ones being due to lung or digestive system. Burningsensation in chest, esp centre of chest and upper stomach goes in favour of digestive system. A chest x ray and a ugie may help to localize the origin of bloo. Consult your physician who will have a look at you and advise you correctly. For blood in urine, consult a urologist.
