Severe Cramping, Diarrhea, Dizziness. Taking Antibiotics For Tick Bite. Cause?
Hello, i was biten by a tick & treated about 3 weeks later for it. I have been off the antibiotic for almost a week. but, i started doubling over w stomach probs friday, severe cramping & diahrrea for the evening...very weak yesterday, going to the bathroom today & very dizzy, when i get up to walk i walk sideways at first could it still be from the tick?
Antibiotics course does sometime induce diarrhoea, hence most Doctors prescribe Pro-biotics along with antibiotics. But such an episode usually occurs during or just after the course. Since there is a gap of a week, this episode of diarrhoea may not be related. Dehydration is a dangerous complication of any diarrhoea & weakness, dizziness, malaise etc. are all signs of dehydration. Drink lots of plain water & water with ORS. Ideally you must visit a doctor for assessment of degree of dehydration and its correction. Also to rule out Tick borne diseases.
Wishing you good health.
