Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
You mentioned that you are a diabetic.
Please mention the type of diabetes?
Duration of disease?
Weight of patient.
Now coming on the main point.
Osteoarthritis is a disease in which there is
severe pain most in both knee joints.
In obese patient pain is more, than others.
Due to over weight and inflammation in the knee joints , amount of
synovial fluid decreases so patient feel pain.
Due to friction of femur ( upper bone in knee joint) and tibia( lower bone in knee joint) , patine feel pain (friction due to less amount of fluid in joint).
If you are a obese patient , only option is reduce the weight.
Knee joint in our body is weight bearing joint.
X ray will reveal the extent of
deformity in joints ( both).
Please get in blood examination for E S R , C B C, calcium level.
Consult an orthopaedician and get in complete treatment.
Last option is
knee replacement.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will be happy to help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
